Definitions
Core appliances included within the Cater One, Cater Two & Cater Plus programs are restricted to individual standard commercial catering and warewash appliances, such as solid tops, open tops ranges grills, chargrills, fryers, Bratt pans, combination & convection ovens, glasswasher. dishwasher, hood dishwasher, hold cabinets etc.
Specialist appliances such as bulk production pressure and baking units, rotary or feature pizza ovens, pressure appliances with insurance certificate requirement, flight dishwash and other non-standard appliances are subject to acceptance after viewing.
The location of the appliance must be accessible without restriction, within a region that we agree is acceptable and reasonable for attendance within our regions of operation.
PPM Service Visit: Applying performance adjustments where possible to gas air mix, flame pitch, jet & burner gas flow and aeration, element and motor contacts, valves, solenoids, pumps' motors & fans.
Electrical inspections confirm safety of the local isolation flex and contacts, with testing of polarity, continuity, insulation, fuse integrity & microwave emissions testing. Calibration of controls, tap clean filters to ease airflow, lubricate hinges, confirming function of controls, displays, probes, levels and safety devices, drain condensate, brush thru/vac finials to clear air flow, reporting functionality, component failure, internal corrosion, ingress, scale damage, compliance issues, raising rectification quotes where required.
CP42: Catering specific gas safety certificate, confirming gas soundness, CO2 levels, extract, ventilation, safety device, interlock function, emergency cut-off and gas rail and hoses.
Priority Status: This program establishes an automatic line of credit which enables acceptance of further works, and breakdown calls to the credit ceiling without the need for an immediate Purchase Order, as such callouts are scheduled at the time of contact, with the first available visit being reserved.
Discounted Labour: This program establishes an automatic labour rate, tailored to client’s locality and offering at least 10% off the standard reactive callout rate.
Discounted Parts: This program establishes an automatic parts & materials tariff offering at least 10% off the standard supply tariff.
Condition Audit: Clients opting for Cater Two or Cater Plus programs will be offered a complimentary asset survey with condition and performance report, highlighting site specific supply and install features, compliance concerns with appropriate risk management advice where required.
Service Desk Support: We offer a fully experienced, service, technical, parts and operational support.
Rollover Assurance: Cater Plus labour inclusive programs are based on estimated annual expenditure, benchmarked against the standard reactive tariff, Rollover assurance offers, that should the estimate for labour expenditure prove to be excessive, then the balance of usage against budget will be evaluated and credited on a rollover basis, resulting in a credit or a reduced budget for the following year.
Renewal: Upon program completion at 12 months, all programs will be requoted for a seamless continuation of the service, to be renewed for a further 12 months at the quoted value.
Terms and Conditions for contracted appliances:
A PPM program is an appliance service and safety inspection, undertaken to manufacturers approved standard, as such appliances must be a recognised commercial brand, which is fit for purpose and in serviceable condition, installed to a compliant standard. Breakdown repairs, refit of replacement parts and appliance upgrades are deemed to be emergency or remedial works and as such are chargeable at the reactive callout rate.
Program activation: A PPM program will become active upon receipt of the 1st Direct Debit payment. All programs are based on a 12-month commitment.
Program cancellation: Upon completion of the 12 monthly payments, the program may be cancelled, without penalty. Premature cancellation of Direct Debit payments will invoke an invoice to the value of works undertaken based on our non-discounted tariff.
Renewal: Upon program completion at 12 months, all programs will be requoted for a seamless continuation of the service, to be renewed for a further 12 months at the new quoted value.
Terms for Cater One & Cater Two contracts:
We may not be able to undertake:
- Works to appliances in a poor and unacceptable working condition
- Works to obsolete appliances
Further charges will be applied to:
- Works outside of normal working hours: Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
- Works to non-scheduled appliances
- Parts and materials
- Un-reasonable time applied to induction, security clearance or administration
- Visits or Callouts which are aborted due to:
- Customer not being present
- Access being denied or restricted
- Appliances not being switched off or cold enough to be worked on
- Unacceptable Health & Safety Risk, includes COVID
Terms for Cater Plus (Labour Inclusive) contract:
Labour inclusive contracts can only be established where appliances are fit for purpose, running to specification and free of pre-existing faults, as such the following are excluded and will be chargeable:
- Parts and materials
- Repairs due to fire and flood
- Repairs due to parts failure after a long period of non-use
- Repairs due to wilful or accidental misuse & abuse
- Repairs due to the build-up of grease or dirt etc
- Repairs due to pre-existing faults & failures
- Repairs due to non-compliant gas installations
- Repairs due to failure of gas supply
- Repairs due to failure or faulty incoming water or outgoing waste
- Repairs due to failure or faulty electrical
- Reconditioning, modifications, structural and cosmetic repairs
- Repairs due to the build-up of scale
- Un-reasonable time applied to induction, security clearance or administration
- Works instructed outside of normal working hours
- Works to equipment not listed on the ppm schedule
- Compressor and evaporator replacement
- Works to appliances in a poor and unacceptable working condition
- Works to obsolete appliances
- Visits or Callouts which are aborted due to:
- Customer not being present
- Access being denied or restricted
- Appliances not being switched off or cold enough to be worked on
- Unacceptable Health & Safety Risk, includes COVID
